Overview

An evening at the Troy Dance Show is the Turkish Riviera at its most theatrical: more than 100 performers of the Fire of Anatolia ensemble retell Homer's epic in thirteen scenes of thundering choreography, live music and firelight — inside a Roman theatre raised in the 2nd century AD. We collect you from your hotel in an air-conditioned coach, your admission is arranged in advance, and you are dropped back late in the evening with the applause still ringing in your ears. Reservation is free; you pay on the day.

Some theatres host shows; Aspendos becomes one. As dusk settles over the ancient stage, you take your place on stone tiers that have watched performances since the 2nd century AD — and then the Fire of Anatolia ensemble erupts onto the stage to tell the story of Troy without a single spoken word.

Your evening begins gently. In the late afternoon or early evening our driver meets you at your hotel — pickups run across the Antalya region, from Lara and Kundu to Konyaaltı and the Old Town, with sister departures from Side, Belek, Alanya and Kemer — and a cool, non-smoking coach carries you to Aspendos. There is time to admire the theatre before you head inside and the lights go down.

What follows is one of Türkiye's most celebrated productions: thirteen scenes choreographed by Mustafa Erdoğan, more than a hundred dancers, live rhythm, dramatic lighting and bursts of flame carrying Homer's legend from the first war drums to the fall of the city. Because the storytelling is entirely visual and musical, every nationality in the audience follows every moment — no translation needed.

When the final bow is taken, you regroup at the coach and roll back along the coast, reaching your hotel late in the evening. A few honest notes: the theatre is open-air with stone steps and uneven surfaces, so sure-footed shoes help, and guests with mobility concerns should message us before booking. Evenings can turn cool, so pack a light layer. The show runs on selected evenings during the season — we confirm the date when you book — and an optional VIP section directly in front of the stage can be added on site for a per-person supplement.

Reserve your seats free of charge, pay on the day, and cancel free up to 48 hours beforehand — the legend has waited three thousand years; it will not mind a little flexibility.

FAQ

Do I need to understand Turkish to enjoy the show?

Not at all. The production is entirely visual and musical — the story of Troy is told through choreography, live rhythm and light, so every seat in the theatre follows it equally well.

Is the Troy show suitable for children?

Yes — it is a family-friendly performance with no inappropriate content. It suits children who can comfortably sit through an evening show, and a reduced child rate applies (age bands confirmed at booking).

Is hotel pickup really included?

Yes. We collect you from your hotel's main entrance gate across the Antalya region, and departures also run from Side, Belek, Alanya and Kemer. Your return drop-off after the show is included too.

What should I wear?

Smart casual works well. Bring a light jacket, as open-air evenings can cool down, and wear comfortable shoes — the ancient theatre has stone seating and steps.

Can I sit closer to the stage?

Yes — an optional VIP section in the centre of the theatre, directly in front of the stage, can be added on site for a per-person supplement, subject to availability.

What happens if the show is cancelled?

Cancellations are rare. If weather or operational reasons stop a performance, you are offered a reschedule or a full refund — and separately, you can cancel your own booking free up to 48 hours in advance.
